It is part of the Miahuatlán District in the south of the Sierra Sur Region.

“I have prepared my body and I am ready to go for my new personal best, always respecting the great distance that the marathon is. It will be a good return to racing and gradually I hope to improve until I get to the point where I want to be. Elite athletics is still a long way off, but I insist on continuing to run for the sake of pleasure and health. I thank my family and community for supporting me and for the confidence they put in me.” Felipe Arellanes Ruiz, athlete from Cuixtla, Oaxaca.

His coach Eddi Perez Silva and Oax Sport’s members of staff will accompany Felipe.

“We have had a difficult process due to the absence of competitions during the health contingency, so from the first moment we learned about this marathon, we thought it would be a very good option for Felipe. We feel confident in achieving it because in recent months Felipe has significantly improved his athletic development.” Eddi Perez Silva, Athletic Director in Oax Sport Inc.
